Experience Details
In this cooking class, you will learn to use traditional methods to make your own soba noodles. The chef will introduce techniques using Japanese wooden rolling pins, kneading bowls, and special soba knives. The class ends with a delicious meal prepared by the shop master. You are invited to watch as he expertly boils your hand-cut soba noodles and fries up kakiage (vegetable fritter) tempura to enjoy with it. Savor your efforts in a charming dining space in the historical neighborhood of Asakusa, where the classroom is located. Asakusa is packed with famous Tokyo soba restaurants as well as great sightseeing and shopping. Chef Masa trained under renowned Sarashina soba chefs and received acclaim from the prestigious soba school, so you can trust that your soba is in good hands! Make soba like the pros and enjoy an afternoon of Japanese food and fun.

The meeting point is at the cooking class location. This cooking class in Tokyo is located in between historical Asakusa and Kappabashi Kitchen Town. The exact location and video guide for accessing the cooking class location will be provided upon booking.

The venue cannot accommodate gluten-free guests or those with celiac/buckwheat allergies.
Vegan/vegetarian accommodations are available during booking - please give advance notice.
The class takes about 3 hours from start to finish. You can enjoy the noodles you’ve made at the venue after class.
