Experience Details
The traditional Asakusa district is famous in Tokyo for its old temples and shrines, namely Sensoji Temple, and its festive shopping districts, including Nakamise Shopping Street. Long-serving as a part of Japanese culture, geisha are Japan’s traditional female entertainers, who act as elegant hostesses for their guests. Immaculately dressed in traditional clothing, geishas are skilled in an array of performance arts such as Japanese dance and playing traditional instruments. Geisha will serve drinks and appetizers for their guests, while making conversation and creating a relaxed environment by playing games with guests. In this one of a kind Tokyo Geisha Experience, you can spend time with a geisha and appreciate a unique evening of entertainment. This Tokyo Geisha Experience is an opportunity to immerse yourself in this traditional side of Japanese culture, where historically the elite and wealthy would be entertained by geisha. With one entertainer per group (up to 5 people), this is a unique experience where you’ll be entertained by a skilled Tokyo geisha. You’ll enjoy a delicious sake tasting that’s served with a tasty appetizer, and see the wonder of traditional Japanese dance and performances with traditional instruments. Joining in on the festivities, the Tokyo geisha will teach you how to play a game called ozashiki-asobi. With a few rounds of games, plus some traditional music and dancing, you can appreciate a range of aspects of Japanese culture during this unique experience, while learning about the rich history of geisha. Experience Location

Home to the famous Sensoji Temple, a Buddhist temple built in the 7th century, Asakusa overflows with rich history and traditional culture. In the past, Asakusa was Tokyo’s leading entertainment district, a red light district with a number of kabuki theaters. Most of Asakusa was destroyed during World War II, but it has since grown into one of Tokyo's most visited tourist spots. Here, you'll find Nakamise Dori, a bustling shopping street lined with local snack and souvenir shops. Asakusa also has other attractions such as parks, public baths, and museums.
